Donohue
Darby Donohue has over 18 years of extensive
experience covering all areas of the food
service industry – from the kitchen to
the boardroom. He has achieved business success
and industry recognition by creating and expanding
several food related companies. Over the past
15 years, Mr. Donohue has built one of Colorado’s
largest and most respected catering companies,
Gourmet Fine Catering formally, Gourmet Alternative.
His catering business
began from his award winning café concept
which included three restaurants.
Mr. Donohue’s experience developing and
expanding companies in the food and catering
industry, first as concepts ending with profitable
ventures, makes him an invaluable asset to
the Gourmet Fine Catering team. He currently
oversees all financial matters for the company
while monitoring and maintaining the food

Kent
Kidwell
Kent Kidwell has 16 successful years of experience
in the food & beverage industry; with
focus in menu development, event coordination
and extensive management. Mr. Kidwell currently
oversees all day-to-day operations for Gourmet
Fine Catering; while establishing long term
contracts with Central City Opera, the Denver
Grand Prix and several other prominent organizations.
These contracts have enabled Gourmet Fine
Catering to become one of Denver's premier
catering companies.
Mr. Kidwell’s professional management
style, customer service skills and long-term
commitment to Gourmet Fine Catering have made

Sexton
Syd Sexton opened Alex Brooks Fine Catering
in 1996. As the owner she envisioned a style,
presentation and service standard unmatched
in the food industry. Her 25 years of experience
and dedication to every event made Alex Brooks
Fine Catering a contender for upscale social
catering. Syd currently oversees the sales
department and heads up the marketing and
business development for Gourmet Fine Catering.
